Privacy Policy

BuilderSwipe serves several kinds of people, and what we collect depends on how you use the platform:

• Home buyers & realtors: browse plans and walkthrough video and connect with builders.
• Sales counselors: new-construction sales professionals who represent builders and connect with agents and buyers.
• Capture Partners: independent videographers who film inventory-home walkthroughs for builders through our network.
• Builders: home builders whose communities, plans, and rights-cleared media appear on the platform.

We collect what you give us directly, which may include:

• Account creation: your name, email address, phone number, role (buyer, realtor, sales counselor, Capture Partner, builder), and, for realtors, brokerage. If you set a password, we store only a salted cryptographic hash of it (never the password itself); email sign-in links are also supported.
• Profile details: for sales counselors and Capture Partners, professional details such as company, service areas, a photo, and portfolio information you choose to add.
• Video uploads: walkthrough videos you or a Capture Partner record and upload, plus the address, community, plan, and quality details attached to each.
• Communications: messages, inquiries, applications, and quote requests you submit through the platform.

Video is the heart of BuilderSwipe. Walkthrough videos are uploaded directly to Cloudflare Stream, our video hosting and delivery provider, which handles secure upload, transcoding, thumbnails, and adaptive streaming. We store metadata about each video (title, property address, community, plan, dimensions, duration, processing status) in our own database, and property imagery in Cloudflare R2 storage. We never screen-record, scrape, or re-host third-party media, and we don’t generate fictitious or “AI fantasy” homes. Representative tours are always disclosed as representative.

BuilderSwipe is built on a default-deny rights model. Every piece of media is “born” with no public permissions. A video can only be shown in a given context if there is an explicit, recorded, in-window, non-revoked permission grant for that context. We track three scopes:

• Internal: BuilderSwipe operations only.
• Builder portfolio: the builder the work was created for may use it.
• Public feed: the video may appear in the public, consumer-facing feed, granted only by explicit, deliberate action, never automatically.

This means that uploading a video does not make it public. Capture work is performed on a work-for-hire basis and attributed to the builder it was created for; it is never placed in the public feed without a specific, approved public-feed grant. This protects builders, owners, agents, and creators alike.

When a walkthrough is shared as a realtor-safe link, the viewer sees the home and the video, but no builder, owner, sales counselor, or pricing identity is exposed. Protecting relationships and preventing attribution leakage is a core design principle, not an afterthought. We never sell leads or expose hidden attribution paths.

• Operate the platform: create and secure accounts, host and deliver video, match buyers and agents with builders, and process capture orders.
• Communicate: send sign-in links, transactional notifications (uploads, approvals, deliveries, payments), and service updates.
• Improve & protect: understand usage, maintain quality, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable and secure.
• Honor rights: enforce the Rights Ledger so media is only ever shown where it is permitted.

We use privacy-respecting, first-party analytics to understand how the platform is used, for example, how often a shared walkthrough is viewed. These measurements support the product and give creators and builders honest engagement data. We use limited error-monitoring tooling to detect and fix technical issues. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

We send email through our email delivery provider for sign-in links and transactional messages tied to your activity (for example, when a walkthrough is uploaded, approved, or delivered, or when a payment is sent). You can contact us to adjust non-essential communications; essential messages like sign-in links are required to use the service.

Videos, profiles, messages, and other content you submit are your responsibility. You confirm you have the rights to upload what you upload and to grant the permissions you grant through the Rights Ledger. We may remove content that violates these terms, infringes rights, or harms the trust of the platform. Content shown publicly appears only under an explicit public-feed grant.

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers: infrastructure partners such as Cloudflare (hosting, video, storage, database) and our email provider, acting on our behalf under contract.
• Within the platform: as the Rights Ledger permits: a builder seeing media created for them, or a realtor-safe link that deliberately omits identity.
• Legal & safety: when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect people and the integrity of the platform.
• Business transfers: if BuilderSwipe is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information and we do not sell leads.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted transport, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your trust is central to how we build.

• Access & correction: you can review and update your profile information at any time.
• Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention.
• Communications: you can ask us to limit non-essential emails.

BuilderSwipe is intended for professional and adult use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

As BuilderSwipe grows, we may introduce additional features, such as marketplace functionality connecting more participants in new construction. When we add features that change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this policy and, where appropriate, ask for your consent. New capabilities will continue to honor the same default-deny, trust-first principles described here.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use of BuilderSwipe after an update means you accept the revised policy.
